We felt the need to clarify a couple of points with you as we have heard some of you have questions or concerns following yesterday’s app message.

Firstly, the children are correct in telling you that there was no formal consultation or vote on what to do in the way of a Y6 leavers party.  The school made the decision that the whole day party with a similar format to that which has happened over the last few years has worked very well and children have always really enjoyed it. We had casually spoken to the children asking if they are happy with the same again and we have only had positive feedback.

Secondly, we have children moving on to seven different secondary schools and even now, two of those schools have not confirmed transition arrangements with us. We have tried our best to diary special events around what we know – which covers almost every day over the last two weeks in school.  If we have scheduled a performance or the party on a day your child has something important happening at their new school (Monday 15^th or Tuesday 16^th July), please let us know.
