We would like to remind you that on Thursday 5th March we will be celebrating World Book Day, and all children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. Dressing up is a wonderful way to inspire conversations about books, share recommendations, and celebrate a love of reading.

We are also delighted to invite families to join us for a special family reading session at 2:45pm. We warmly welcome parents, carers, and grandparents to come into school and enjoy sharing a book with the children. You might choose to read a story, lead a quiz, share some poetry, or even explore a favourite magazine.

For Nursery children, the reading sessions will take place at:

• 10:45am for morning Nursery
• 2:45pm for afternoon and 30-hour children

If you have more than one child in school, please choose one classroom to attend. Older siblings are very welcome to come down and join you so that you can all enjoy reading together in the younger sibling’s class.

In addition, we will be running a Book Fair, with every book priced at just £2. The fair will be open on Thursday 5th March from 8:15–8:45am and 3:00–3:30pm and Friday 6th March at 8:15 -8:45am, and children are welcome to visit with their parent or carer during these times.

Alternatively, children may bring £2 to school, as each class will visit the book fair across the two days and will have the opportunity to purchase a book.
