Dear Parents and Carers
Due to the forecast high temperatures, we are implementing the following safety measures for the rest of this week:
- Uniform: Children may come to school in their school PE kits (or PE shorts with blue polo) and a sun hat.
- Breaktime: Ball games will be stopped during breaks to prevent heat exhaustion.
- Sun Protection: Please apply high-factor sun cream to your child at home before school.
- Encouraging cold drinks: Ensure your child has a water bottle in school (perhaps fill with ice at home)
We are also making a temporary change to our lunch menu as the kitchen is simply too hot to safely prepare our traditional meals and children have very little appetite for a heavy roast dinner in this weather! Available options on Wednesday and Thursday are jacket potatoes, pasta pots and sandwiches. We expect to return to our normal menu on Friday as the children love the fish fingers.
