 Welcome from the Headteachers

Welcome to Kings Oak Primary.  We are proud to be an Ofsted Outstanding school at the heart of a community that is passionate about educating young people.  Our centre strives to provide the best opportunities to support the development of every child from three to eleven and promotes learning for everyone for life. We believe in forming strong partnerships with our community and providing an excellent service to enable every family and young person with the greatest opportunity to improve their life chances. We are committed to promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing to all pupils, their families, staff and governors. We hope your child will be happy, safe, achieve and enjoy the time they are with us in our Centre and that our children become well-rounded citizens in our community and the wider world. We aim to provide first quality learning and teaching experiences, through a creative curriculum, for your child to ensure they are equipped with the vital skills, knowledge and understanding to live in a forever changing world.

We welcome your cooperation in providing your child with every advantage for development within school and value parental support. Positive relationships are the key to success.

If anyone has any cause for concern about a child’s welfare or progress, we aim as soon as possible to work together with the appropriate agencies to secure your child's well-being.

We feel privileged to be the headteachers of Kings Oak Primary and be entrusted with your children. The team at Kings Oak Primary are committed to ensuring your child receives the best all-around education possible.

After School Club Offer after Half Term!

    Dear Parents / Carers,

I have attached the updated letter for clubs for after half term. As you will see, some clubs are now full and I have put the remaining spaces available next to the clubs that aren't yet full.

You may also notice that the Y5/6 Gymnastics club is now open to Y3/4 again due to low uptake from Y5/6. I have amended the form so you can now sign your child from Y3/4 up to this club if they would like to go.

    Thank you,

    Mr Lovatt

    ATTENDANCE REWARDS

On Thursday 21st May, we will once again be celebrating our pupils who achieved excellent attendance. Our focus for this reward is Spring Term 2, covering the five-week period from February half-term to Easter.

Attendance Rewards: 100% Attendance (all 25 days): These children highlighted in green on the attached sheet are invited to come to school in full non-uniform on Thursday.
Near-Perfect Attendance (missed only one full day/two sessions): Children in yellow on the attached sheet are invited to wear a non-uniform top with their usual school trousers or skirt.
If your child has PE on this day, make sure they are wearing something suitable, eg a football kit.

We understand that some children may feel disappointed if they missed out this time; however, there are six opportunities throughout the year to earn this reward. Our next focus period will be Summer Term 1 (the weeks between Easter and Spring Bank), so everyone has a fresh start to aim for the next one!

Thank you for your continued support in ensuring your child is in school every day.
