 Welcome from the Headteachers

Welcome to Kings Oak Primary.  We are proud to be an Ofsted Outstanding school at the heart of a community that is passionate about educating young people.  Our centre strives to provide the best opportunities to support the development of every child from three to eleven and promotes learning for everyone for life. We believe in forming strong partnerships with our community and providing an excellent service to enable every family and young person with the greatest opportunity to improve their life chances. We are committed to promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing to all pupils, their families, staff and governors. We hope your child will be happy, safe, achieve and enjoy the time they are with us in our Centre and that our children become well-rounded citizens in our community and the wider world. We aim to provide first quality learning and teaching experiences, through a creative curriculum, for your child to ensure they are equipped with the vital skills, knowledge and understanding to live in a forever changing world.

We welcome your cooperation in providing your child with every advantage for development within school and value parental support. Positive relationships are the key to success.

If anyone has any cause for concern about a child’s welfare or progress, we aim as soon as possible to work together with the appropriate agencies to secure your child's well-being.

We feel privileged to be the headteachers of Kings Oak Primary and be entrusted with your children. The team at Kings Oak Primary are committed to ensuring your child receives the best all-around education possible.

    Parent–Pupil–Teacher Review Meetings - Wednesday 25th March

    Dear Parents and Carers,

It is that time of year again when we hold our Parent–Pupil–Teacher Review Meetings. These will take place on Wednesday 25th March. To allow time for appointments, school will close at 2:30pm on this day.

These meetings are for Reception to Year 6 pupils. Nursery will not be taking part, as they will be arranging their meetings in a different way. Further information for Nursery parents will follow separately.

This year we will be trialing a new way to book Parents’ Evening appointments through the MCAS App. As always, appointments will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The booking system will go live on MCAS from Tuesday 10th March at 9:00am.

A guide explaining how to book appointments has been attached. If you have not yet signed up for an MCAS account, please contact the school office before Tuesday so that we can help you get set up in time to book your appointment.

If you have more than one child in the school, please note that it will be the responsibility of parents/carers to book appointments close together where possible.

Thank you for your continued support.

YEAR 6 - KINGSWOOD FINAL INFORMATION

Kingswood is just around the corner so we just wanted to remind you of some key details surrounding the organisation:

*Children will come to school at normal time on Monday 16th March. They should bring their bags/cases to school with them and these will be stored outside the Y6 classroom until we leave.

*All children should come in their sports kit- even those not going to Kingswood.

*Children will have lunch in school. Please note that their packed lunch bag will stay in school until Wednesday so if you want to send their lunch in a carrier bag then the rubbish can be disposed of.

*They will return back to school by 2.15pm on Wednesday and can be collected at this time.

*Do not send children with any aerosols or sprays. This will set off the fire alarm just  like at school. Please send them with roll on only.

We will not be posting any updates while at Kingswood. Please know we will contact any parents if needed but no news is good news.

*No personal electronic devices, including phones, tablets, and cameras permitted.

*Packing list is attached once again - ALL CHILDREN MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN SLEEPING BAG OR DUVET AND PILLOW

If you have any last minute questions, please email at kingsoakoffice@watertonacademytrust.org

    Thank you
